Margo Smith burst onto the country music scene in 1975 with her first release which she penned, "There I Said It" which stayed on the billboard charts for an astounding 20 weeks. Following that she has had numerous top ten releases and some great #1's.

Having moved to Warner Brothers Records, Margo turned out many classics like:

"Save Your Kisses For Me"

"Take My Breath Away"

"Still A Woman"

"Paper Lovin"

All of these recordings reached the number one position in the Billboard charts.

"Little Things Mean A Lot"

"Don't Break The Heart That Loves You"

"It Only Hurts For A Little While"

In 1978, a duet with Rex Allen, Jr., "Cup Of Tea", won nominations for Top Duet Of The Year from both the Academy of Country Music and The Music City News.

Awarded the title of "World Class Yodeler", Margo is also known for her amazing talent as a "yodeler". Her most popular yodel song, "I Want To Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart", received national teleplay as a concept video. Margo has also recorded with Peter Hennin, the famous Swiss yodeler. Margo is considered to be in the class often referred to as Master Yodeler.

Margo occasionally appears on the Grand Ole Opry and TNN's program, Music City Tonight, where her vivid personality and vocal style are welcomed and loved by the millions who view. She also makes appearances at Dolly wood.

In 1991, Margo and her daughter Holly, united their voices to become Margo Smith & Holly. Since then, Margo and Holly have had several number one Christian Country records and were elected "Top Duet Of The Year" by the International Country Gospel Music Association in 1993 and 1994. When the second annual Christian Country Music Association Awards were held in 1994, these lovely ladies were the first recipients of the "Vocal Duo of The Year" award.

Margo continues to perform, both solo and with daughter Holly. Her latest project is a single release of her own in Christian Country that hit the Christian Country charts at an unprecedented #11.
